Bio
Jamaal St. John's poetry is a cross between old school hip-hop rhyme schemes with cunning wordplay, accentuated with topics about current social, political and economic issues and their importance. He manages to layer these aspects with a comical dexterity that only few poets can match.
Jamaal has performed in countless venues across the United States and Canada. His newly anticipated chapbook, "The Horror and the Hype" was released December 2000. Jamaal is also currently working on a CD project entitled, "Osiris" as well as a full length book of poetry.
